WHO ARE

“SYNTH

GODS”?

Synth God M.A.S.S. was inspired by Keyboard Magazine's book Synth Gods edited by Ernie Rideout in 2011. This book spotlights 20 leading visionaries, including leading synthesists such as Jan Hammer, Wendy Carlos, and Stevie Wonder, as well as designers of some of the most famous synthesizers such as Dr. Robert Moog, Dave Smith, and Ray Kurzweil. These visionaries who through the medium of the synthesizer:

"... changed the course of music history and inspired generations".

“SYNTH GODS” THE BOOK

“Ernie Rideout, former editor in chief of Keyboard magazine, got to spend a lot of quality time with many of the greatest synth players, synth designers, and synthesizers of all time.

He collected 20 interviews from the Keyboard archives, all summarized in this book.

Keyboard Presents Synth Gods spotlights leading visionaries who changed the course of music history and who have one sure thing in common: they’d hardly ever use a preset sound (as Ernie Rideout notes).”

From Book Recommendation: Keyboard Presents Synth Gods By Theo Bloderer.

The book is a compilation of in-depth articles from the print Keyboard Magazine from 1976 to 2008. Whereas the Synth Gods book and documentary focused on the historic  contributions that led to digital music synthesis, our Synth God M.A.S.S. is centered on the current state-of-the-art and future of digital music synthesis and the influence of  Artificial  Intelligence on music creation and automation. In doing presenting this symposium, we would like to pay tribute to those “SYNTH GODS” who has made ingenious engineering and creative contributions to the music.
